Santa Clarita Valley Quail Unlimited is located in the Santa Clarita Valley of Beautiful Southern California. Santa Clarita Valley is located about 45 minutes away from Los Angeles. But don''t let the distance from the big city fool you the Santa Clarita Valley is a wonderful get away for the outdoor adventures that you will endure when with the Santa Clarita Valley Quail Unlimited. The S.C.V. Chapter of Quail Unlimited currently has a local membership of over 390 adults and 50 youths under the age of 16. Of the 390 adults over a quarter of which are women. Although the majority of our members live in the Santa Clarita Valley or near by in the San Fernando Valley S.C.V.Q.U. is open to anyone in any area.
About four years ago we felt it necesary to start a youth program that would help promote a better understanding of the outdoors and how the habitat plays such an important roll for the wildlife. We also teach youth firearms safety classes and above all we stress good sportsmanship at all times.
This year we were awarded with top honors for National & Western Habitat awards, National & Western Regional Youth Programs for Hunter Safety and Youth Trap Teams, Presidents Club for the Western Region, and 10/30 Club for the Western Region. So come to the Santa clarita Valley Quail Unlimited and become part of the 10th largest chapters in the United States.
