Bureau of Land Management

The US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) manage over
400 million acres of public land. With recent Federal budget cutbacks, these
agencies have been in desperate need for on-the-ground help to get the work
done that needs to be done for upland birds. Quail Unlimited and its nationwide
network of chapters have stepped in to form partnerships at the national
level through formal Memorandums of Understanding with each agency at the
local level through Challenge Cost Share Agreements with QU chapters to fund
and man habitat projects.
