From The President - Changes at Quail Unlimited
Headquarters:
Quail Unlimited Cooking Contest
It seems as though nothing is sweeping the country quite like
gourmet cooking. Well-known chefs command five-figure speaking fees, stores
and catalogs and magazines catering to the craze are springing up
everywhere, there's even a television network devoted to it.
So, it¹s only natural that QU gets in on the fun, and there¹s no
better place to do it than at the 25th Anniversary Celebrity Conservation
Event in Albany Georgia, and what better group to provide the action and compete for the top
prize than our own chapters?
The first annual QU National Chapter Cooking Championship will
kick off Thursday, January 13, 2011, run through the night, and the winner -
the QU Cooking Champ - will be announced Friday evening at the Conservation
Dinner and Live Auction event. Any chapter can enter a team, all participants
must be QU members, and your type of cooking (barbecue ribs, for example -
and quail will be available) has to be declared ahead of time.
The winner will be named by two certified cooking contest judges
(yes, there is such a thing). We are very proud to announce that Mr. Brad Holland, founder of the Holland Grill Company and longtime QU supporter, is coordinating the contest.
Registration form coming soon. Please check back later...

A brief note about the Covey Blast.
QU has received your request to be added to the Covey Blast.
As long as you have registered with us to be added you will not
be left out. Currently at this time our President Bill Bowles is
working on a new format for the Covey Blast. When he has
completed this we will begin sending them out once more.
Thank you very much.
