Edgefield, SC (July 31, 2007)—“The passion and drive we use to recover our wildlife habitat for quail and other upland birds and animals is intensified a hundredfold when we realize the joy of taking our favorite hunting dog and companion into the field. The bond of any animal to its owner is intense. Add to this the sharing of the part of our American heritage we call hunting, and it touches your soul,” stated Craig Alderman, Director of Marketing for Quail Unlimited. “We created the Quail Unlimited Canine Lifetime Hall of Fame™ to honor the substantial contributions dogs make to our lives and to recognize their owners and handlers like no one else,” Alderman said. “By creating the QU Lifetime Canine Hall of Fame, hosted on www.qu.org/chof, there is now a website for all to visit and read about your dog and you. for all to see and read about. From listing your dog’s name and birth date to its breed and color, along with interesting facts and accomplishments, to enjoyable moments and special thoughts, this website is long overdue,” emphasized Craig.
Another feature of the Canine Lifetime Hall of Fame is the ability to add information to your dog’s biography when he or she accomplishes more or does something special in your life. Also, when the time comes for your canine to pass to the ultimate hunting ground, your dog’s picture and file will be moved to the “Honorary Canine Lifetime Hall of Fame”, where it will remain for all to view and read for generations to come.
Available exaclusively to QU members, there is no limit to the number of dogs you can submit for lifetime membership, and it can be any breed as long as your canine brought companionship, love and friendship into your life and that of your family. When the application is received and confirmed, your canine will be assigned a unique Lifetime Membership number, then his biography and photograph that you submit will be posted on the QU Canine Lifetime Hall of Fame. A one time fee of $200 will be used to establish the record and for habitat restoration projects through Quail Unlimited and its chapters nationwide.
Furthermore, all Canine Lifetime Hall of Fame owners will receive a certificate signifying their dog's the Canine Lifetime Membership for their office or home, another fitting tribute to the times spent with their canine companion.
Applications can be obtained on line at www.qu.org/chof or by contacting Quail Unlimited at 803-637-5731.
“How many times have we wished we had better pictures and details about our hunting dogs and canine companions from years past to show our children, grandchildren or hunting partners? With the QU Canine Lifetime Hall of Fame, now we can capture all of those memories and it will remain for all to see,” concluded Craig Alderman.
