Quail Unlimited magazine is the official magazine of Quail Unlimited®. Manuscripts, artwork and photographs are welcomed from readers and freelance writers, but none can be returned unless accompanied by sufficient return postage. Quail Unlimited® assumes no responsibility for the loss of manuscripts or photographs sent to our office.

    All written material should be original and unpublished and must consist of accurate information that appeals to our special interest readership of quail and upland game bird aficionados, quail callers, hunters, professional wildlife managers and art collectors.

Manuscript Submissions

    We encourage submissions to be provided on a CD. We prefer that articles and cutlines be written in Microsoft Word 2000 or lower for Mac or PC, *.txt or *.rtf format. Article text should be single spaced, with only one space after periods and no tabs or indents on the first line of paragraphs. There should only be one "hard" return at the end of each paragraph. Please send a printed hard copy with the disk.

Photographs

    We do accept photos from free-lance photographers that illustrate various wild quail in their natural habitats, quail and upland game bird hunting scenes, colorful scenics of quail habitat, etc.

    We look for quality-clarity, sharpness, composition and correct exposure. Each photo should have a written caption with a description of the shot and the names of any people shown. QU accepts digital photos as well as prints.
