When it comes to whitetail hunting or even turkey hunting, there are few individuals that garner the respect of an industry and whose experiences and dedication make him a true outdoorsman, Terry Rohm is in a class of his own.
Terry grew up on a farm in rural Perry Country Pennsylvania where, even today, there is still not a red light. Terry was introduced to the hunting heritage at a very young age by his parents to whom he will be forever grateful. Being taught the skills of a hunter and the responsibility as one that truly considers himself a steward of the land, Terry never stopped in the search for a better understanding of the life and life influences of the wildlife he loves and pursues. Terry's start to a professional carrier in the outdoor industry came when he became interested in competitive turkey calling. Not content to just learn to call the evasive wild turkey, Terry turned to competition amongst other enthusiasts and was the youngest caller ever to win the Pennsylvania State Turkey Calling Championship.
Terry's competition was never in the harvest, but in the techniques and knowledge that would outwit the most challenging game, in their own environment using nature's ways. Taking his abilities to the next level, Rohm then went on to win the First and Second National Wild turkey Federation Grand National Championship. Several years and wins latter he found himself working for World Champion Turkey Caller and Grand Outdoorsman Ben Rogers Lee, considered by most to be the father of modern day turkey hunting.
Today as Director of Marketing for the leading scent and deer call manufacturer, Tink's Deer Lures, Terry can be seen on hunting shows such as Buckmasters', Bill Jordan's Realtree Outdoors and many more. His quest for knowledge of the whitetail led him to working with Doctors. Miller and Marchinton, of the University of Georgia, leading researchers in the whitetail field, and he puts the knowledge into products and techniques for the average outdoorsman that wants a superb challenge in the pursuit of the trophy whitetail across north America.
Terry will be a featured seminar speaker at the QU Heartland Wildlife EXPO, explaining the best scouting and hunting techniques and how the whitetail will react to the use of scents, lures and calls. His open question and answer sessions should not be missed by anyone that wants to learn from an expert and a true ambassador of conservation.
