Wildlife Biologist Positions

Fort Bragg is recruiting Wildlife Biologist Positions to work with its Hunting and Fishing Program and Fish and Wildlife Management team. We are currently recruiting 2 contract positions: Wildlife Control Biologist and Agricultural Program Biologist
Wildlife / Agricultural Specialist: This position is responsible for: 1) Developing and overseeing short and long range management plans such as agricultural outlease programs, native grass conversion projects, and wildlife habitat planning within agricultural programs and military training land use requirements. 2) Researching and implementing initiatives aimed at combining and maximizing multiple land use objectives involving agricultural and natural resource production with native plants, especially those with high wildlife values. 3) Carrying out work plans as needed to support implementation of biological studies, monitoring activities, and habitat and population management of fish and wildlife.
Wildlife Control Biologist: This position is responsible for: 1) Technical expertise, education, and support to Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard Reduction programs on active military airfields and surrounding lands. 2) Developing and implementing beaver and beaver habitat management programs in accordance with multiple land uses and ecological considerations. 3) Providing human / wildlife interface response and outreach, and developing wildlife immobilization and handling programs. 3) Carrying out work plans as needed to support implementation of biological studies, monitoring activities, and habitat and population management of fish and wildlife.
The best applicants will join a great team of professional Fish and Wildlife Managers and Wildlife Conservation Enforcement Officers as they oversee hunting and fishing, manage fish and wildlife, ensure military training compliance with natural resources and environmental laws; and enforce fish, wildlife, and related laws and regulations on a 160,000 acre military installation.
