Quail Unlimited and campaign for better habitat endures
"America's farmers and ranchers play an important role in improving our environment, and for nearly 25 years, CRP has helped this nation build sound conservation practices that preserve the soil, clean our water, and restore habitat for wildlife," said Miller. "Today’s announcement will help us create a greener and healthier America, and I encourage all interested farmers and ranchers to contact their local FSA office to learn more how to take advantage of this opportunity.
The Tennessee State Chapter of Quail Unlimited has

Quail Unlimited Cooking Contest
It seems as though nothing is sweeping the country quite like
gourmet cooking. Well-known chefs command five-figure speaking fees, stores
and catalogs and magazines catering to the craze are springing up
everywhere, there's even a television network devoted to it.
So, it¹s only natural that QU gets in on the fun, and there¹s no
better place to do it than at the 25th Anniversary Celebrity Conservation
Event in Albany Georgia, and what better group to provide the action and compete for the top
prize than our own chapters?
The first annual QU National Chapter Cooking Championship will
kick off Thursday, January 27, 2011, run through the night, and the winner -
the QU Cooking Champ - will be announced Friday evening at the Winchester
Dinner and Auction event. Any chapter can enter a team, all participants
must be QU members, and your type of cooking (barbecue ribs, for example -
and quail will be available) has to be declared ahead of time.
The winner will be named by two certified cooking contest judges
(yes, there is such a thing).
Registration form coming soon. Please check back later...
